Head of Maths for A-Level
Sally is a highly experienced Mathematics tutor with over 20 years of teaching expertise, including 17 years at The King’s School, Chester, a leading academically selective independent school. With a genuine passion for the subject, she inspires students by showing the beauty of Maths through its logic, structure, and problem-solving nature.
In addition to her classroom experience, Sally works as an Edexcel examiner, giving her a unique perspective on how exams are marked and what examiners look for. She uses this insight to help students avoid common pitfalls, refine their technique, and maximise their marks.
Her lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether that involves tackling challenging concepts, building analytical skills, or developing exam confidence. With a calm and encouraging approach, Sally creates an environment where students feel supported to progress and thrive. Head of Biology for A-level
I am an experienced Biology teacher with a proven track record of teaching in state, independent, and international schools. Over the course of my career, I have held the position of Head of Biology at a highly successful state school, where I was responsible for driving excellent academic outcomes and fostering a passion for the subject among students. Additionally, I have worked as a troubleshooter for underperforming international students, helping them overcome academic challenges and significantly improve their results.I hold a degree in Biochemistry and a PGCE from the University of Bristol (2004). My strong academic background, combined with extensive teaching experience, allows me to break down complex concepts into clear, concise explanations that students can easily understand. As an experienced examiner, I focus heavily on exam technique, teaching students how to structure answers effectively, master mark schemes, and approach questions with confidence.
My teaching philosophy centres on building understanding, confidence, and exam readiness. I adapt my lessons to suit the individual needs of each learner, whether they are aiming for top grades or working to strengthen their foundation. Over the years, I have helped countless students unlock their potential in Biology, with many going on to achieve outstanding results and secure places at top universities.
Head of Physics for A-level
I bring over 15 years of experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Physics across both state and HMC independent schools. Her teaching is built around a questioning, student-centred approach that encourages curiosity and develops a strong conceptual and mathematical understanding of Physics.
Throughout her career, Emma has worked with a wide range of students — from those who initially lack confidence to high-achieving learners preparing for Oxbridge and other top university applications. Many of her students have gone on to study at prestigious universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, and Russell Group institutions.
Emma holds a PGCE from the University of Cambridge, a BSc in Physics from the University of Nottingham, and an MSc from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU).
In addition to teaching Physics, she also teaches English as a Second Language and speaks Norwegian. Outside the classroom, Emma enjoys cycling, travelling, swimming, and scuba diving.
Head of KS3 & GCSE Maths
Anna is an exceptional and highly qualified Mathematics tutor with a Master’s degree in Maths and Physics, a Qualified Teacher Status from Lancaster University, and over 20 years of teaching experience across both state and independent schools. Her strong academic background, extensive subject expertise and warm, encouraging manner make her a remarkable educator for learners of all abilities. Anna is known for helping students build confidence, simplify complex concepts and rediscover their enjoyment of Maths through clear explanations and personalised guidance..
As a dedicated tutor and experienced examiner for both Edexcel and AQA, Anna brings invaluable insight into exam expectations and assessment criteria. This allows her students to achieve consistently outstanding results at both GCSE and A-level. She is highly skilled at identifying learning gaps, adapting her teaching style to individual needs and equipping students with effective problem-solving techniques. Her professionalism, empathy and commitment to excellence make her a trusted and respected partner in her students’ academic progress.
Outside the classroom, Anna is passionate, well-rounded and deeply family-oriented. She loves travelling and spending quality time with her children. In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton, attending Zumba and cycling classes, and playing the church organ during Sunday Mass. Head of Computer Science
Neha is a highly experienced Computer Science teacher with an excellent track record across independent and grammar schools. She holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, combining advanced subject knowledge with extensive classroom experience. She provides expert tuition for students at KS3, GCSE and A level, carefully adapting every lesson to suit the learner’s ability, goals and preferred learning style.
As a Python specialist, Neha has an exceptional ability to make programming clear, accessible and enjoyable. She breaks complex concepts and challenging problems into smaller, manageable steps, helping students develop secure knowledge and strong computational-thinking skills. Her patient and structured approach enables learners to become more independent, resilient and confident when approaching unfamiliar problems.
Beyond the classroom, Neha works with organisations to prepare talented students for prestigious competitions, including the British Algorithmic Olympiad and the British Informatics Olympiad. Through advanced programming practice and focused problem-solving, she equips aspiring computer scientists with the knowledge, techniques and confidence required to compete at the highest level.Neha also serves as a Digital Charity Catalyst, working alongside a dedicated team of teachers to support schools facing shortages of qualified Computer Science staff. Her lessons are engaging, supportive and results-focused, creating a positive environment built on trust and a can-do attitude. Head of English for GCSE
Simran is highly experienced English tutor who worked across a range of schools in the Midlands for more than ten years before moving into full-time private tuition in 2020. With over fifteen years of tutoring experience, she brings extensive subject knowledge, accomplished classroom practice and a thorough understanding of how to help students achieve their academic potential.
As a current GCSE English examiner for AQA, she offers valuable insight into examination expectations, assessment objectives and effective response techniques. Her detailed knowledge of the marking process enables her to provide precise, up-to-date guidance, helping students understand what examiners are looking for and how to communicate their ideas clearly, confidently and effectively.
EShe supports students from the age of eight through to A level, specialising in GCSE and A-level English Language and Literature. Her expertise also includes 10+, 11+ and 13+ preparation, grammar and independent school entrance examinations, and support with UCAS applications and personal statements. Having taught a broad range of literary texts, she helps students strengthen their reading, writing, analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Nicola is a passionate and highly experienced teacher with over 30 years of classroom expertise. She specialises in KS3 Science, GCSE and IGCSE Science, and A-level Biology. Having served as both Head of Biology and Head of Science, she combines outstanding subject knowledge with extensive teaching and leadership experience. Her work as a GCSE examiner also gives her valuable insight into assessment requirements, examination techniques and what examiners expect from successful answers.
Having taught in England, East Africa and the UAE, Nicola brings an international perspective and adaptable teaching style to every lesson. She carefully tailors her tuition to each student’s ability, learning style and academic goals, including those with special educational needs. Through interactive questioning, flipped learning, effective revision strategies and focused past-paper practice, she makes challenging scientific concepts clear, engaging and manageable..
